Cameron Sim is a senior associate in the International Dispute Resolution Group at Debevoise & Plimpton. He is based in Hong Kong, and specializes in commercial arbitration. He acts in proceedings worldwide under all major arbitration rules and across a range of industries, with a focus on energy, pharmaceuticals, private equity, and telecommunications. Mr Sim is admitted in New York, Hong Kong, England & Wales, and Australia, and he has appeared as advocate before tribunals seated in both Europe and Asia. Previously, Mr Sim clerked for the President of the Supreme Court of the United Kingdom and in the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council, obtained a first class Masters degree in law from Oxford University, and trained at a Magic Circle firm in London (including secondments to an international oil and gas company, and a pro bono advocacy unit). Mr Sim is recognised by Who’s Who Legal (2021) as a future leader of international arbitration, and he is the Asia Chair for the Institute for Transnational Arbitration’s under-40 group (the Young ITA). Mr Sim is widely published, and he is the sole author of the forthcoming treatise Emergency Arbitration (Oxford University Press (2021)).
